Yongzhou, a small city in southwest China's Hunan Province, is known locally as "The city pulled out by the train."
At the beginning of 21, I heard that Yongzhou East Station (Lengshuitan Station) would be demolished, so I listed it in the plan. However, the repeated development of the COVID-19 epidemic, the summer vacation finally failed to take place. Later, the Chinese National Day holiday, when the COVID-19 epidemic subsided, allowed me to go.
Yongzhou East Station, is the original Yongzhou station, Lengshuitan station, in the Xiang-Guangxi line diverted and the new Yongzhou station, into a small end station, only for freight business.
Of course, the main reason for coming here is to see the diesel locomotive. The old Hunan-Guangxi line has not been electrified yet, and this is the junction of Nanning Group and Guangzhou Group, which brings together many different types of diesel cars from the two bureas-very comfortable.
Go toward outside walk. There is no safety net on the old Hunan-Guangxi line, and pedestrians walk alongside trains on the shoulder of the road, a sight that is almost impossible to see today in 2021. But here, where emergency stops are common.
Unfortunately, Yongzhou East Station will cease operation at the end of this year and all operations will be moved to the newly built Yongzhou North Station. The 83-year operation of Lengshuitan Station has finally completed its historic mission.
Goodbye.
